Our first vintage from this historic family vineyard is a showstopper. Commanding attention from the aromatics to the long dramatic finish. Exotic spice frames the beautiful aromas of black currant, licorice and cocoa. Incredibly textured and mouth filling with a complex range of dark fruits, grilled herbs and mineral flavors. There is a phenomenal interplay of lush texture and broad tannin that gives this a sense of luxury and opulence. Delicious now and over the next decade.
Kelly Peterson is at the helm, steering her family’s legacy into its 109th harvest on their property. For over a decade, we’ve courted these grapes, asking our friend Kelly for the opportunity to someday make Cabernet from her family’s singular site - and finally it is here. We’ll almost here - you will have to wait until the Spring to receive it, but I assure you it will be worth the wait! The Switchback Cabernet is luxurious, powerful and wonderfully complex – a testament to impeccable farming and the well-drained soils of this site.
