Violet and lavender perfumes entice immediately on the nose. A sensuous texture methodically envelopes the entire palette. Plush explosions of blackberry, dark chocolate, mocha and cherry flavors dominate immediately followed by harmonious layers of cocoa, cedar-spiced tobacco and crushed cherry blossoms. The finish is stunning; hints of liquid-silk tannins wrap around the long sophisticated finish.

On the palate it is dense and mouth coating with a plush core of chocolate-covered blueberry fruit, mineral, cocoa and vanilla bean flavors framed by a velvet glove of fine-grained tannins. Complex notes of tobacco and stone in the background.
Very long, layered, sophisticated finish where the cocoa and blackberry flavors push on indefinitely. Incredible texture, structure and finesse to the tannins. A baby currently with years of development – but absolutely delicious now.
Beautiful, complex aromas of black cherry, chocolate, herb, tobacco, mint. In the mouth this is dense, rich and packed with seductive fruit. Shows penetrating dark cherry, cassis, stone fruit flavors and layers of cocoa, caramel, blueberry and plum. The rich, textured mid palate leads to a long, powerful and layered finish. Delicious now but will easily improve for a decade or more in the cellar.
The 2015 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has beguiling aromas of blackber-ry, dark cherry, liquid stone, chocolate, espresso, graphite and floral notes. Powerful, almost decadent, but balanced on a fine structure of lush tannin and bright acid. Incredibly dense, rich and powerful with beautiful dark fruit char-acter. Has both a brooding density and an extroverted, lively, even hedonistic, fruit profile all on a sophisticated frame.
Beautiful, complex, and totally enticing aromas of black cherry, currant and baking spice over a background of cocoa, mineral and sweet tobacco. Layers of flavor expand on the palate where blackberry, plum, cocoa and cassis ride on an incredible silken texture that transitions to super sophisticated, fine-grained tannins. Impressive for its combination of power, texture and beautifully detailed fruit flavors. Totally delicious now and will continue to improve through 2030.
Dark, powerful and richly textured with a lush foundation of fruit, the 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet is one of my favorites to date. Layered and complex, it is a great representation of the heights that the 2017 vintage was capable of. Shows a remarkable, seamless build-up of intensity from entry through the finish, coating the palate with complex layers of flavor and powerful but silky structure. Suave and detailed, with flavors of blackberry, fresh dark cherry, currant, dried fig, cracked pepper and dried herbs. Background notes of graphite, espresso, baking cocoa and plum lead to the long finish where dark fruit, hints of mineral, baking spice and mocha linger. Sophisticated fine-grained tannins. Exceptional for its combination of freshness, intensity, complexity. Beautifully balanced and drinking well now – but best with some time in the cellar (5-20 years) or decant an hour before enjoying.
Very classic and compelling Cabernet. The aromas show purposeful and elegant restraint – cedar, tobacco leaf, lavender, currant and dark cherry and earth. In the mouth, this shows a classic, powerful Napa Valley Cabernet with broad fine-grained tannins providing a seamless and finely-filigreed structure and precise balancing acidity. Finishes beautifully with flavors of dried herb, black currant, cedar and cocoa powder that linger. This is a wine that charms with its combination of class, elegance and sumptuousness.

Dense, textured and powerful. Wow, this is sexy, lush, layered and so complex. Refinement in concert with power – with a juicy core supported by luxurious silky tannin and dark fruit flavors. Cassis, balsamic, plum sauce, black cherry, baking chocolate and thyme lead to a long complex finish. Impossible to resist now but will gain even more complexity and nuance with bottle age.
Wonderfully aromatic with classic Cabernet notes cedar, tobacco leaf, lavender, currant and dark cherries. Creamy, supple and textured on the palate with a range of delicious cherry, plum, chocolate, tobacco and spice flavors layered over broad fine-grained tannins. Classic aromas of dark cherry, cedar and herbs. Smooth and polished on the palate – impressive refinement for a wine this young. The flavors echo the aromas with dark cherry in the forefront supported by complex layers of vanilla bean, baking spice and tobacco notes. Long and lush with a nice balance of bright acid and soft, ripe tannin. Drinking beautifully now and through 2025.
Complex aromatics show a range of ripe plum, black currant, sage and dried herb notes layered over mocha and caramel. The palate texture is pure silk, supporting a rich, lush mouthful of plum, dark berries, baking spices, herbs, cocoa and vanilla bean. Totally delicious and accessible now with fine grain tannin balancing the plush texture. The 2015 TEN Proprietary Blend will be even better with a few years in the cellar but it’s so good now there’s not much reason to wait…

A remarkable TEN – leads with dark berry, dried fig, stone and spice notes. Big and powerful in the mouth with a huge dense core of dried cherry, liquid stone, fig compote, cocoa, mineral and spice all framed by beautiful tannins. Powerful and intense but also intricate and layered. Really impressive. This vintage of the TEN will improve with some years in the cellar – or 3-4 hours in the decanter prior to serving.
Very expressive of our valley floor Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, this wine has beautiful aromatics of dried herbs, rose petals, black currant, cherries and anise. Super silky and smooth on the palate, the lush textured core reveals layers of currant, cherry and licorice notes. This all flows seamlessly into a long, bright and energetic finish where the flavors echo. Probably the most approachable 2018 at this point but has a long life ahead. Delicious.

Massive and rich with a dense core of dark fruit, chocolate, mocha, caramel and mineral. Totally palate coating – but tannins are round, rich and seductive while massive. Really impressive for its power and intensity over a beautiful framework. Has classic Moulds’ floral notes and sophis-tication but a density and richness like no other Moulds before. This is spectacu-lar now but will really show its best 2020 and beyond.
2016 is a truly exceptional year for the Moulds Family Vineyard Cabernet. Jaw dropping levels of extract with a super concentrated, mouth-coating core of texture, power and fruit. Exceptionally dark, plush and undeniably sexy – the 2016 reveals tiers of dark cherry, cassis, liquid stone, graphite, espresso and violets all layered over an incredible foundation of refined, powerful and silky tannin. Super youthful and sumptuous, this can be enjoyed now with a few hours in the decanter and will hit its stride in 2021 but will continue to improve in the cellar through 2030.

Every year this makes an extraordinary Cabernet Franc and this is certainly.
Exotic dark fruits, dried herbs, anise, mint, baking cocoa and espresso bean aromas are incredibly enticing. On the palate, the 2020 is characteristically bright, energetic and powerful. Reveals a racy core of dark raspberry and cassis layered over complex graphite, anise, plum and mineral notes. Shows a balance of brightness, richness and concentration over a tightly coiled, but lush-tannin frame.
What a beautiful wine. This is lush, textured and so layered. Delicious. Plum, menthol, mineral, black berry, wild nettle, black currant, cherry plum – and in the mouth this has a beautiful red fruit and floral lift to the dark berry character. Complex and enticing herb and floral notes. Phenomenal persistence and palate presence. Opulent but energized. Lots of tannin presence that will resolve with bottle age. Broad and powerful. Wow.

One of the more approachable Oakville Ranch Cabernet Franc vintages at this stage – it will be hard to resist drinking every bottle of this utterly delicious Franc on release!
Intoxicating aromas of violet and fresh lavender set the tone for what is to come. Explosive blackberry and espresso aromas follow and transfer to the pallet effortlessly. There is a maple bacon component to this wine I’ve never experienced before and it’s as unique as it is amazing. The texture of the wine never ceases to amaze and much like the Dakota Shy Wines, the tannins are lush, polished, and lingering for minutes after the first sip. We like to call it the “cashmere effect” and it’s sure to not disappoint.
The Social Currency strikes an incredible balance between luxury and power. Opulent, sophisticated, plush and dense with complex and powerful tiers of flavor. Intoxicating aromas range across mocha, cocoa, coffee, mineral and deep dark cherry notes. Silky but also incredibly concentrated on the palate showing layered, complex and totally compelling plum, strawberry compote, chocolate and coffee finishing with refined mineral and fruit notes. Serious but totally sensuous. Dense, powerful and plush finish that lingers on and on. This is seductive now but will only gain nuance and complexity with time in the cellar.

This is a wine for cellaring will even more exceptional with cellaring – but that will be a challenge given how delicious it is young.
