Wonderfully perfumed, showing floral dark fruits, sweet herb and bright berry notes. Dense, powerful and rich with broad and silky mouth-coating tannin. Shows off gorgeous berry, spice and herb flavors over a core of dark chocolate and mocha notes. Super long and multi-layered over a gorgeously textured core. Impressive for its combination of freshness, intensity and complex range of flavors. The 2020 Altas is exceptional.
The Atlas Cabernet Sauvignon takes its name from the Titan god, Atlas, who bears the weight of the world and heavens on his shoulders. This remarkably powerful and nuanced Cabernet gets its character from the soils and exposure of our vineyards on the north-eastern hillsides and valley floor of Napa Valley. Our exceptional southwest facing hillside-vineyards range from just off the valley floor to 900 feet of elevation. Our valley floor vineyard’s alluvial volcanic soils stretch from the base of the Vaca range. The combination of soil types, fractured volcanics on the hills and alluvial volcanics on the floor, are all very well drained sites with deep root systems.
